Pre and Post Natal Pilates Teacher Training

Our Pre and Post Natal Pilates Teacher Training program offers a comprehensive approach to supporting individuals throughout the birthing cycle. Led by our resident MMC faculty member and Doula, Georgia Burns, this program provides instructors with the tools and knowledge needed to effectively work with clients during pregnancy and postpartum recovery. You will leave this course with the confidence and proper building blocks to help you work safely and effectively with a diverse range of bodies, aiding them through both pre and post natal recovery.

  • 4-part exercise program intended to track the stages of pregnancy

  • Emphasis on breathing and strength training

  • Centers the emotional and physical safety of the client above all else

Part 1: Pre and Post Natal Pilates Teacher Training

The first two days of the training program are dedicated to mat-based exercises specifically designed for pre and postnatal clients. Participants will delve into understanding common pregnancy patterns and acquiring effective techniques to support the evolving body. Emphasis is placed on mastering breathing techniques, strength training, and prioritizing the emotional and physical safety of clients.

Part 2: Advanced Pre and Post Natal Programming for Pilates Apparatus

On the third day, participants will explore modifications and programming across all Pilates equipment, including the reformer, Cadillac, chair, and barrels. This segment expands upon the foundational knowledge gained in the first two days, providing instructors with the expertise to adapt Pilates sessions for prenatal and postnatal clients using the Pilates apparatus.

Program Requirements:

Part 1 of our Pre and Post Natal Pilates Training is open to anyone with a Mat Pilates Certification.

To enroll in the full three-day program, participants must possess a Reformer Pilates certification or a comprehensive Pilates certification, ensuring a foundational understanding of Pilates equipment.

Art of The Arch: Foot & Ankle Workshop For Teachers

If you're looking to deepen your understanding of how the feet impact whole-body movement, join us for Art of the Arch, a two-part workshop that explores the role of the foot and ankle in stability, strength, and alignment.

Your feet are your foundation—yet they’re often overlooked in movement training. In this continuing education course, we dive into the anatomy and biomechanics of the feet to uncover their essential role in alignment, stability, and dynamic movement.

You’ll explore:

  • Key anatomical structures of the foot and ankle

  • Functional biomechanics and common foot pathologies

  • Foot mobility and strength exercises on the mat and reformer

  • Strategies to cue and program for better foot health in your classes

Whether you're working with clients recovering from injury or aiming to enhance whole-body performance, this course will help you understand the foot as the root of the kinetic chain—and how to build from the ground up.
