Pilates for Runners w/Darlene

Run like the wind (or make running easy)....when done properly, running should reduce strain, rather than produce it. In this workshop, learn proper running mechanics, dynamic running warm ups and post running stretches to assist in recovery and decrease injuries. The focus is pilates based strengthening of running muscles. Dr. Darlene Buan-Basit is a chiropractor and pilates movement specialist who works closes with both professional and recreational athletes, treating injuries and maximizing performance.
Restorative Yoga Workshop w/Leslie
Sunday March 17 : 2 - 4pm
Join us for this amazing two hour journey! You will be guided through this exploration as your body moves into deep rest, energy is restored, your spirit is rejuvenated and space is cleared within allowing you to surrender more fully to each new moment! In each restorative pose, you will be fully supported by the use of props, where you will be able sink deeper into a state of profound relaxation.

Birth Recovery for Trauma and C-Section w/Georgia

Birth is a natural and moving process that 85% of women will experience over their lifetime. Of these women 90% report feeling some sort of trauma through their pregnancy, labour, or postnatal period.
This course focuses on using Pilates-based movement to assist in the recovery from trauma in postnatal women.
What you will learn:
Breathing mechanics as it relates to mindfulness and relaxation
Anatomy of pregnancy
Common trauma that occurs in labour
Ergonomics and safe practice after C-section
Muscle release specific to postpartum
Safe exercise progression from day 1
