I started doing Pilates with my mother at the age of 18. While I enjoyed it, I didn't really get it. It seemed relatively easy and extremely slow paced. After injuring myself running and making a severe change to my diet, I found myself feeling disconnected from my body, weak and constantly tired.
I remembered the Pilates I had tried and thought I'd give it another go. I found a teacher that taught a kickass class and I fell in love. Within a month, my body and my mindset had changed, so had my overall perspective on fitness and wellbeing.
What I found was that my mind felt as free and limber as my body did.
It became clear to me that if I could feel so good practicing Pilates myself, then a job that would allow me to impart that feeling onto others was definitely the job for me!
Teaching movement is by far the most rewarding job I've ever had. Watching peoples minds and bodies transform keeps me motivated, happy and excited everyday!
