Emily Thring is a life long mover and athlete. She started practicing Pilates to help deal with a back injury that was causing chronic pain. The practice healed her injury and eliminated her discomfort. Pilates also changed her approach to fitness, helping her tap into, and appreciate the deep mind-body connection. Emily was drawn to the the detail and focus of Pilates. She loves that it challenges the body athletically but also encourages functional movement patterns to prevent and rehabilitate injuries. Trained in mat and reformer from Body Harmonics, Emily is also certified in TRX. She brings this passion for Pilates, a good workout, and commitment to technique to each of her classes and describes her style as 'slow and sneaky burn.'
